I’m Lydia Reaves-Bey, an Instructional Designer and creative problem-solver with a background in music, entrepreneurship, and education. For over a decade, I’ve combined teaching, business ownership, and creative design to help people learn in ways that stick.
My Journey
🎶 Music & Education: With a degree in Music Media and 25+ years as a trumpet player, I began my career teaching orchestra. This taught me how powerful storytelling and creativity can be in keeping learners engaged.
🧵 Entrepreneurship: I built my handmade business, Lydia's Lovely Loops, from the ground up. Designing patterns, managing operations, and developing a comprehensive virtual assistant training program gave me the ability to turn complex processes into simple, repeatable systems. My VA course achieved an 80% success rate, with graduates landing their first clients within three months of completion.
🎓 Instructional Design: Today, I bring those experiences together to create learning solutions that are clear, creative, and impactful. My work blends storytelling, audio design, digital experiences, and AI-powered tools to make learning engaging and accessible.
