Make it stand out.
Every project tells a story. In this portfolio, I showcase how I've transformed complex ideas into meaningful learning through storytelling, audio design, and innovative use of technology. These samples reflect both my process and my passion for making learning memorable.
From Document to Dialogue: The Audio Syllabus Experience
My audio syllabus process transforms a traditional course outline into an engaging, narrative-driven listening experience. Instead of handing learners a static document, I design a spoken version enriched with tone, pacing, and storytelling techniques. This approach makes expectations clear, accessible, and memorable, particularly for busy adult learners who prefer flexible, on-the-go learning options.
To enhance engagement and variety, I incorporate AI-powered voice tools for character dialogue and narration. This allows the syllabus to feel less like a read-aloud document and more like a dynamic, story-driven introduction to the course.
This design aligns with Knowles' Adult Learning Theory (Andragogy), which emphasizes that adult learners are self-directed, bring rich life experiences to learning, and prefer content that is immediately relevant to their goals. By delivering the syllabus in audio form, learners can engage with essential course information flexibly while respecting their time constraints and diverse learning preferences.
The process also incorporates Cognitive Load Theory principles by chunking information into digestible audio segments and using narrative structure to reduce extraneous cognitive load. Additionally, it supports Universal Design for Learning (UDL) by providing multiple means of representation through auditory channels, accommodating learners who process information more effectively through listening.
The development follows the ADDIE instructional design model. During Analysis, I identify learner needs for flexible, accessible content delivery. In Design, I structure the syllabus into a coherent narrative with logical flow and real-world connections. During Development, I integrate audio production techniques alongside AI-generated voices to enhance clarity and engagement. The Implementation phase positions the audio syllabus as an expectation-setting tool that empowers learners before formal instruction begins, while Evaluation can assess learner engagement and comprehension of course requirements.
